Dirty places

As a kid, I sought out abandoned house to sneak into.  I loved seeing what people left behind.

I still do it today.  These are houses in and around my home town of Hood River.

Which, may be surprising, if you know how gentrified Hood River has become.

The more nasty, the more the place seems to have secrets to tell.

Texture that only time and forgetting can create.

And items left for clues to the secrets.

Color that is worn and beautiful and quiet.

And just gross.

Like a scary movie.
